Girl Guides are crafty! So we decided to ask people to think outside the cookie box and develop original crafts made out of Girl Guide cookie boxes and/or the cookies. Kids and adults of all ages met and exceeded the call and blew us away with their creativity, passion, excitement (and competitiveness)!

From birds and campfires, to houses, jewelry and a holiday ornament, we received nearly 80 crafts for our Thinking Outside the Cookie Box Contest.

A mother, daughter and son got creative together, and a Unit of 15 Girl Guides submitted several crafts for the contest.

Even Jeremie from CBC’s Artzooka! got bitten by the bug and submitted a very special craft for us.

We received several thousand votes and you determined GGC’s craftiest cookie lovers.

Our winner in the GGC category is:

Brownie Selling Cookies by Brooke J

Brooke J. (age 9) from ‘B.C. Brownie Cookie Selling’.

Our public craft winner is:

Girl Guide Cookies Sailing Ship by Denise R of AB

Denise R. from Alberta Girl Guide Cookies Sailing Ship

Congratulations to Brooke and Denise!

If you haven’t seen them, please check out all of the wonderful craft submissions.
