This winter, Girl Guide members can try the STEMinism Challenge and learn to think like a STEMinist with this collection of hands-on activities. They’ll get to know past and present STEMinists, discover career opportunities, explore STEM through art, games and experiments, as well as build problem-solving and resiliency skills.
Through activities like the STEMinism Challenge, Girl Guide members can try new things that will help them to uncover skills, keep stereotypes in check, discover inspirational women and explore new things like the world of STEM.
Research has shown that too many girls today are receiving messages that STEM isn’t for them and as a result they are potentially closing doors to future opportunities and limiting their career pathways. At Girl Guides, we focus on equipping girls with twenty-first century skills to confidently navigate the world and grab hold of every opportunity that comes their way – now and in the future.
