Empowering girls to navigate the STEM pipeline helps them make informed decisions about education and careers so they don’t limit their future pathways. Girl Guide members have been sparking their imaginations with our Paper Circuit STEM Kits and learning to think like engineers.
Thanks to General Motors we’ve sent out over 1,600 free kits to girls across Canada to make light-up paper circuits and earn their Inventor Discovery badge.
Giving girls the chance to try STEM activities like this one, allows them to experiment, explore their curiosity and develop their problem-solving skills – all of which can help create the next generation of innovators and change-makers. It’s just one of the ways Girl Guides is empowering girls with the skills they need to confidently navigate today’s world and shape their future.
