Tea with Trefoil Guilds

Earlier this month, the two Trefoil Guilds in Richmond, BC – the Fraser Delta and Legends – hosted the 28th annual Christmas Fair.  Our ladies came through as they always do; we had wonderful home-baked goodies, candy and preserves, lots of great “treasures” from the attic, amazing silent auction items and incredible crafts to sell.  Plants were a new selling item that went very well.

Our customers not only browsed and purchased from our tables and/or bid on our silent auction items but they sat, relaxed and chatted with friends while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and goodies.  The tea was served in china cups from silver tea services and the goodies were finger sandwiches (thanks to the Fraser Delta Guild) and a couple of sweets.  Elegant as some said.  We put out a questionnaire for our customers to complete and the results were fantastic.  People truly enjoyed their experience at our sale, the prices right and the tea – wonderful!

This year we had many customers from outside of Guiding and we’re pretty sure it’s because our ad was in the newspaper a few times thanks to one of our Tsawwassen Guiders who works for the Delta Optimist.  (Thanks Jane.)

The profit from the fair will go towards helping with the up keep of our Richmond Guide House and other Guiding activities.
