A GGC Blog is Born!

It’s a girl!  On Tuesday, February 22nd at 9:02 am, Girl Guides of Canada – Guides du Canada (GGC) welcomed a beautiful baby blog into the world.  We’ve named her GirlGuidesCANBlog because she showcases what we CAN achieve and she’s CANadian!

February 22nd is a very special day in Guiding.  GirlGuidesCANBlog shares this birthday with Scouting and Guiding Founder Lord Baden-Powell and World Chief Guide Olave Baden-Powell.  GGC and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) celebrate February 22 as World Thinking Day, an opportunity for our girls to think globally and celebrate Guiding’s achievements with their sisters around the world.  What an appropriate time for us to start thinking and talking about the issues that matter to girls!

We appreciate you visiting the new addition to the family!  We hope that you’ll continue to visit our blog as she grows and develops.  And please talk to GirlGuidesCANBlog – she loves making new friends!
